Artist Bio- Rachael is a self-taught macramé artist that was raised in NYC and born in Trinidad. She learned macramé through books, Youtube and the fiber community on Instagram four years ago when her second daughter was born.  She has a B.A. in Sociology from Brooklyn College and an M.A. in Linguistics from Columbia University, but realized knotting rope was her language. Her love for fiber is rooted in using rope as a form of cross-cultural communication. Rachael currently lives in Jersey City with her two daughters and partner of 18 years, and more than 50 houseplants.
